The Water Treatment Way - Drink Water On Empty Stomach

In Japan today, it's popular to drink water immediately after waking up every morning. Furthermore, scientific tests have proven its value. Water treatment is found by a Japanese medical society as a hundred percent cure for diseases such as headache, heart system, arthritis, epilepsy, bronchitis, asthma, tuberculosis, womb cancer, menstrual disordere, etc.

Method of Treatment

As u wake up, before brushing ur teeth drink 4 glasses of water each about 160 ml. Brush & clean the mouth but do not eat or drink anything for 45 minutes. After 45 minutes, u may eat or drink anything.

15 minutes after breakfast, lunch or dinner, do not drink anything for 2 hours.

For the old & sick & those unable to drink 4 glasses of water, at the beginning u may start by taking little water and gradually increase it to 4 glasses per day.

The following list gives the number of days of treatment required to cure the main diseases:

High blood pressure : 30 days
Gastric : 10 days
Diabetes : 30 days
Constipation : 10 days
Cancer : 180 days
Tuberculosis : 90 days
Arthritis : 3 days, followed by daily treatment

This treatment has no side effects, except in the beginning u may have to urinate frequently.

4 Surprising Work Habits (that get the job done)

1) Take more/longer breaks - Expert suggest that employees follow their instinct instead of schedules and unplug for a moment when your mind or body is on overload. "Humans can only concentrate for 45 minutes at a time" says Doris Jeanette, psychologist.

2) Blow off the small stuff - Author & speaker Allan Bacon insists that blowing off work - the most unimportant work - can be beneficial.

3) Clear away the cobwebs - Health economist Patti Peeples suggest that workers set aside one day every month to wrap up any unfinished projects or address incomplete tasks. When workers spend most of their time on high-priority projects, it's important to designate a time to clear away the cobwebs and resolve any old issues.

4) Goof off - It can help relieve stress, improve morale and encourage team - building. Surf the internet, share a laugh, with your colleagues or close your eyes, check out, rest and repair.

Why many new businesses fail within the 1st 5 years?

1) Our schools train students to be employees wholook for jobs rather than train entrepreneurs who create jobs and businesses.

2) The skills to be a good employee are not the same skills required to be a good entrepreneur.

3) Many entrepreneurs fail to build a business. Instead they work hard building a job that they own. They become self-employed rather than business owners.

4) Many entrepreneurs work longer hours & are paid less per hour than their employees. Hence, many quit out of exhaustion.

5) Many new entrepreneurs start without enough real life experience & without enough capital.

6) Many new entrepreneurs have a great product or service but don't have the business skills to build a successful business around that product or service.

How To Pay Off Ur Mortgage

Here are some tips I got from Azizi Ali's book on "How to pay off ur house loan in 5 years or less" (2007).

1) Pay the loan as soon as u get the money - There is usually a period of 1 month b4 the 1st payment becomes due after the loan is disbursed by the bank. If we wait until the due date before making the payment, then the interest for that month will be the highest ever interest charge. Also, the payment doesn't have to be the exact figure stated as the payment becuse the more u pay, the lower will be the interest charge.

2) Pay a little bit extra every month - Even a small amount will go a long way to reduce the interest charge and therefore the total payment in the end.

3) Pay every fortnightly (instead of monthly) - Divide the month payment into 2 and then pay the figure every fortnight (2 weeks). This is because although there are 12 months in a year, there are 26 fortnights in a year, and not 24!

4) Pay early (before the due date) - Naturally, the earlier u pay b4 the due date, the more u save on the interest charge. A realistic early payment date would be on the day u get ur salary.

5) Pay the loan anytime u have extra cash - Needless 2 say, u should pay the loan anytime u have some extra cash. This money may be from the yearly bonus, tax refunds, inheritance, etc. u can also transfer the money from ur EPF account 2 to reduce ur housing loan.

6) Maintain the same payment even when the interest rate drops - If the interest rate drops, the actual payment will also drop. While some banks want u 2 continuemaking the same payment amounts, some others will write & tell u that the payments have been reduced. But if u continued to make the same payments, the period will obviously drop. In turn, the total payment will also be reduced, therefore saving u much money in the process.

7) Increase the payment amount if u get a pay raise - If u lived well on ur previous salary, y not live on the same amount still? Use the extra money 2 pay off ur housing loan. Remember that u will not miss what u never had.

8) Sell off unused goods and use the money to pay the loan - Most of us will have some unused goods lying idly in the house. Y not cleared up that clutter, regain the space, improve the view, sell the goods to a 2nd hand store, etc. Everybody wins - u get money from idle stuff & the buyer gets a product at a discount.

9) Refinance the loan to another bank offering a lower interest - U could also reduce the total payments by refinancing the loan to another bank offering a lower interest charge. However it does not mean that a lower interest rate will automatically lower total payments. Some banks offer lower interest rates but they hit u with other fees which may include processing fees, maintenance fees, transfer fees & even mandatory mortgage reducing term insurance (MRTA). So what u have to do is to 1st calculate the total payments for both loans. Only when the total payment for the 2nd bank is lower than the original should u switch the loans.

How To Ask For A Raise

Asking for a raise should be a carefully planned move, not a spur-of-the moment impulse, because a lot is at stake here. To make sure you do it right, follow these tips:

a) Do prep work - Compile a list of your significant contributions that prove that by staying, u would benefit the firm. Your list of accomplishments may include instances where u saved money for the company, increase workplace productivity, etc. A good strategy would be to keep a running journal of your major work milestones so that when it's time to ask for that raise, u don't need to squeeze your brain remembering past achievements.

b) Ask around - Do a bit of research and make discreet, informal inquiries beforehand about the pay scales for similar positions. If your hunch is right that u are pretty much on the lower end of the salary bracket, u'll better be prepared to justify your request.

c) Consider timing - The best time to seek a higher salary is when any of the following elements are present: the boss is in a jovial mood, u've just been offered another job, etc. When is it lousy timing? When a new management has taken over, your work is so-so, or when your organization has been hit by a crisis.

d) Have options - Pre-meeting preparations should include options u can resort to in case ur original request meets with opposition. If the big boss tells u that he can't grant ur request, be ready to whip out those options. For instance, u can suggest a cash-and-incentive combination or other arrangements that are less likely to make a dent in ur company's pocket.

e) Stay sweet - Be present & cooperative. Let ur boss knows u r hoping for an arrangement that would benefit and be agreeable to both sides. Present ur case, backed by facts, objectively. Don't whine or plead or make him feel guilty.

f) Watch urself - During the negotiation period, it's best to keep some things in mind. Don't lie since u'll be found out eventually, but don't put urself in a negative light either.

g) Don't be greedy - Know when not to push ur luck. Be willing to make trade-offs, and don't push ur boss against the wall.

h) Listen - If ur boss offers alternatives, hear him out. However, u need not be compelled to accept or suggest anything u don't want. Avoid rash actions. Request for a day or so to decide about any counteroffer he makes.

i) Show your feelings - Should negotiations come to an unsatisfactory ending, don't give in to the temptation to throw a tantrum. Show genuine dissapoinment, then exit gracefully. Take this as a learning experience.

Meridian Tapping

Meridians are the energy pathways of the body. They're like highway systems in our bodies. There are seven meridian points on the body that when tapped may alleviate the emotional stress u may feel.

1) Outside of the eyebrow (move from the nose & follow ur eyebrow outward)
2) Inside the eyebrow (near the bridge of ur nose)
3) Underneath the eyes (the soft spot above the cheek bone)
4) Underneath the nose, above the lip (in the center)
5) The bottom of ur lip (center)
6) A little lower than the collar bone (move ur fingers down ur throat to the "v" part and then 4 inches horizontally to either side)
7) 4 inches under the armpit

Try this tapping method :
a) 1st, think up a statement that names ur problem ("I dun have enough $ to pay my bills" etc).
b) Identify on a scale from 1 to 10 (with 10 being the most stressful) the degrees of stress that u feel.
c) Now, go through the 7 meridian pathways, tapping 6 to 7 times with ur hand, using pointer and middle finger, and tap as u repeat the statement that names ur problem.
d) When u have completed a round of meridian tapping on all 7 points, identify where u are on the stress scale ; 1 to 10. For more info on meridian tapping, go to http://www.eft.com/

Lawak of the day - Kelisa, Evo & Ferrari

Apa lagi, jiwa muda patang dicabar, dia pun tekan la minyak rapat nak kejar ferrari nie...lupa la pulak dia dengan kelisa org tua yg diikat kat belakang kereta dia.

Orang tua tu punya la hangin satu badan, dia pun hon dan bagi hi beam bagai nak rak.Mamat evo7 tu dah tak sedar dah angin punya pasal.

Backstabbing co-workers

Sadly, it is during these tough times that some co-workers feeling threatened, employ sneaky tactics to eliminate u n protect their rice bowl. But we've got your back with these strategies:

a) Become a fellow grape - On the grapevine that is. If the backstabber knows u keep ur ears n eyes open to office politics, they may think twice before stabbing u. Your survival is also better protected if u r clued into the going-on, re-organisations & layoffs in the office.

b) Friends in all places - Don't just work to create good relationships with ur boss and colleagues. Secretaries and assistants could also be the angel or the devil on the shoulders of the decision-makers so try ur best to get on their good side.

c) Saying less protects u more - Know that anything said "in private" can easily be taken public. In fact backstabbers often try to gather personal secrets so as to stock up undermining ammo.

d) Here, have ur knife back - If u r backstabbed, feel free to confront the offender in a calm and rational manner. Say something like: "If u have a problem with me, lets resolve it now, bcos we need to work together in a healthy way 2 create the most productive work environment." It's likely the backstabbing will stop.

Long-lasting blooms

Freshly cut flowers are very charming & pretty but they also have a very short lifespan. Here's some tips of what u can do to help them last a few days longer:

i)   Use a glass vase - Metal vases may alter the pH of the water making it unsuitable for the flowers. And to keep bacteria at bay, clean the vase with a mixture of hot water & a few drops of antibacterial soap then rinse well.

ii)  Prepare plant food - It can double the life of your blooms. Mix 1 part of Sprite or 7-Up, 3 parts of water and a quarter teaspoon of bleach 2 help nourish the flower.

iii) Cut them underwater - Remove 1 to 2 inches of the stem under water to prevent air bubbles that can block water flow to flowers.

iv)  No fan or sunlight - It's a big no-no to place flowers in direct sunlight but it's also not a good idea to place them directly under the fan as this will make the flowers dry up faster.

v)   Remove the dead - Some of the flowers will wither earlier and u'll need to remove them immediately. They emit ethylene gas that will cause the other blooms to wilt faster.
